Thoughts on the CBU Game

In recap there are a few items that stand out about the CBU exhibition.

1) While the Princeton offense is fun to watch, I don't believe the Tigers will face an opponent this year in the regular season running this offense or a version of it. To my knowledge the major programs running this style include Northwestern, Air Force and Samford. NC State did run it prior to Sidney Lowe's arrival this summer, but I doubt it will be carried over.

2) I was very happy to see CDR have the strong overall game, but the turnovers were excessive at seven. Overall, one would have to give him an A- for the game. 7 of 9 from the field including 2 of 2 from 3 pt range, 5 boards, 5 assists and the 7 TOs. Very nice.

3) Speaking of nice, how about the spark from Freshman Tre'Von Willis who wasn't even in the rotation. Here is making the most of very limited minutes - 1 of 1 from the field, 5 of 6 from the line, 4 boards and a steal in SIX minutes (ok, four personal fouls - hey, he's a freshman).

4) I thought Pierre Niles was ok considering he is just back from knee surgery and he is clearly a backup at this point. Of course, if Joey Dorsey continues his prior tendancies to get in foul trouble, we may need Niles to step up sooner than later.
