Former Arizona Wildcats assistant coach Josh Pastner will be named the head coach at Memphis, CBSSports.com reporter Gary Parrish said today, citing “a source close to the program.”

The Memphis Commercial-Appeal is also citing a source as saying Pastner's in and Memphis boosters have been told an announcement could be made as soon as today.
Pastner, who was John Calipari’s lead recruiter at Memphis before Calipari took the Kentucky opening, played 42 games at Arizona from 1996-2000 before being named an undergraduate assistant and then an assistant coach.

Pastner left Tucson about a year ago to take the Memphis job.
