Memphis is widely regarded as a favorite to reach the Final Four next March, but the school year is getting off to a bad start, as two Memphis basketball players were arrested early this morning after a fight outside a club.

Freshman Jeff Robinson and sophomore Shawn Taggart were booked shortly before 6 a.m., Gary Parrish of CBS Sports is reporting. Robinson was charged with inciting a riot, assault-bodily harm and disorderly conduct. Taggart was charged with inciting a riot and disorderly conduct.

Memphis coach John Calipari said he doesn't know what punishment he'll mete out to the two players, but that he had a meeting with the rest of the team this morning in which he told the players that bars and nightclubs are now off-limits to all Memphis players.

"I know they're going to screw up because they're young kids and they're going to do dumb things, like my own children," Calipari said. "But how many times have I said that nothing good happens in a club after midnight?"

Memphis returns seven of the top eight scorers from last season's Elite Eight team. Robinson and Taggart are expected to get significant minutes off the bench, but Memphis would still be a Final Four favorite if both players are booted off the team.
