MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis coach John Calipari says he has no regrets the day after his Tigers lost to Kansas in the NCAA title game.
The team returned home Tuesday from San Antonio and was greeted by a crowd of several hundred screaming supporters at the airport.
The Tigers lost 75-68 in overtime after blowing a 9-point lead over the final two minutes.
But all was forgiven at the airport, with fans decked out in Tiger blue and waving pom-poms.
Calipari said he and the players won't beat themselves up about the game. He said it's been a pleasure coaching the team.
Calipari said the Tigers played to win, and played for the city of Memphis.
