Yes, I know you have to be a die-hard historian to remember Jimmie Hunter playing for Memphis, but I'm sure several of you do indeed. Snap played with Memphis in 1998-1999, his second year out of high school (Trezvant High in Memphis). He led the team in scoring at 16.2 points per game but only played in 20 games (he wasn't eligible until mid-December).
The very talented guard just couldn't not handle the rigors of main stream college academics and left for the Life University Running Eagles (Atlanta, Georgia) (NAIA) the following year where he averaged 22.1 ppg and lead Life to their second straight NAIA national title.
Snap, a rookie on this year's Indiana Pacers, would have led the CBA in scoring (27.6 ppg) last year, but left the league before playing in enough games. Snap was a three-time Player of Week for the CBA's Gary (IN) Steelheads. He also played in his 3rd CBA All-Star Classic in January.
Jimmie is probably best know for his days in the Memphis Summer League, the Bluff City Classic, where he was MVP for two years. He also was in the 1997 Memphis high school senior class that produced multiple D-1 players including White Station H.S. Tony Harris (Univ of Tennessee), Overton H.S. Marcus Moody (Univ of Memphis), Cory Bradford (Univ of Illinois), White Station H.S. Robert O'Kelly (Wake Forest) and John Grice (Shelby State C.C. / Univ of Memphis)

i am getting ready to start wear high school jerseys and i mlove to get some pics of some the memphis players jerseys i know one guy who wash cars at a local car wash in north memphis was the acc freshman of the year but start doing drugs and i love to wear his jersey at that car wash to let them know up there he still somebody
