Douglas-Roberts, Dorsey draw C-USA honors

University of Memphis junior Chris Douglas-Roberts was named the Conference USA preseason Player of the Year today, the league office announced at the conference's media day at FedExForum.
The conference's 12 head coaches voted for the award.
A 6-7 guard, Douglas-Roberts averaged 15.4 points and shot 54.3 percent from the floor last year in leading the Tigers to their second straight Elite Eight NCAA Tournament appearance. He was a first-team pick last year.
The coaches also picked Memphis, for the third straight year, to win the conference championship, something the Tigers accomplished each of the past two seasons.
Joining Douglas-Roberts on the preseason all-conference team is 6-9 senior forward Joey Dorsey. Rounding out the preseason team are Paul Delaney III of UAB, Robert McKiver of Houston and Jeremy Wise of Southern Miss.
