Preseason All-America first team are guards Sean Singletary of Virginia, Chris Lofton of Tennessee, forwards Chase Budinger of Arizona and Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, and center Roy Hibbert of Georgetown. Second-team selections are guards Darren Collison (UCLA) and Drew Neitzel (Michigan State), forwards Brandon Rush (Kansas) and D.J. White (Indiana), and center Brook Lopez (Stanford). The third team is comprised of guards D.J. Augustin (Texas), Chris Douglas-Roberts (Memphis) and Jamont Gordon (Mississippi State), and forwards Brandon Costner (NC State) and Michael Beasley (Kansas State).
